A lovely Friday to spend at Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
The past few days had mild temperatures, which accelerated things even more. As a result, cherry trees around the Garden are in full bloom. Also, it was nice to have the chance to admire the beauty of the yellow Saucer Magnolia, which usually blooms in mid-April, unlike the pink Saucer Magnolia, which dried during March 30 freeze. Crabapple trees were also stunning, as well as the peach tree.
I could notice a Kwanzan Cherry that had just started to bloom.

Crabapples around the city are in full bloom (some will be within a day or two).

Black Cherry Plum

Black Cherry Plum trees got their leaves out already, and most of them also got many flowers.

Eastern Redbuds

I’I’ve seen some eastern redbuds blooming and some others a few days away from blooming.
