It has been a tough cold week that brought some freezing temperatures. Usually, colder days are expected in March. However, some flowers can’t survive the freezing temperatures for an extended period.

Sadly many Magnolias around NYC that were blooming and reached their peak bloom didn’t make it, and their flowers dried out from the freeze.

Eastern Redbud trees already have pretty tiny buds, and they should bloom with their little flowers by mid-April.
