Beautiful days with more sunshine and high temperatures are doing an excellent job for small-medium trees around the city.
Many Daffodils are blooming around the city.
Magnolia Trees are near peak bloom. It seems like by Saturday, some of them will approach peak bloom. For some, it will take another few days to another week.
I took this (blurry) picture today at Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
This Sweetgum tree is making a remarkable progression, and the bird seems to love it.
Cherry Blossom – NYC Vs Washington DC
As for March 21, The National Pard Service arborists have judged that the cherry blossoms around the Tidal basin in the Capital have reached peak bloom.
It usually takes 2-3 more weeks for the city, depending on the weather.
For comparison, in 2021, cherry blossom had peaked bloom on March 21, while NYC reached the peak bloom on April 7.
