March 18, 2022 – Hybrid Witch Hazels are now in full bloom now.
Now you can see more and more Daffodils blooming or close to bloom.

Red Maple trees are also near full bloom and are easy to identify by their small red flowers.

Shrubs with green buds are common to spot.

Here are some pictures I took from Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Weeping Cherry that shows nice progression with white petals starting to poke through.

‘Cultivar’ Japanese Flowering Cherry in early green buds stages. That’s stage 1 out of 6 stages to bloom.

Magnolias are making progress with nice big green buds.

Red Maple trees are in full bloom.

Above-average temperatures will lead to the first cherry trees blossoming in the city.

March 15 2022

After a quite mild February in the big apple, March of 2022 is bringing above normal temperatures. However, March is known as March Madness, thanks to the unpredictable weather it brings. Days can be from the upper 40s up to the lower 70s.

March 15 2022 – Hybrid Witch Hazels are deciduous shrubs or small trees, and they are early birds. With yellow spikes flowers, they are the first to bloom in the city. You can find them in many Gardens and parks around all the different boroughs.
While Daffodils and Tulips are still making their progress, Crocus and Snowdrops are the first flowers to appear and create beautiful spots in white, yellow and purple.

Callery Pears are also making slow progress, with some green buds just starting to poke through.
